Typical applications

  • Robot fingers and dexterous hands
  • Humanoid wrists, ankles and faces
  • Small grippers and end effectors
  • Lab automation and test fixtures
  • Camera focus, valves and adjustable mechanisms

Choosing the right one

  • Size thrust with margin over the real load; speed falls as load rises.
  • Choose the stroke you need: a longer stroke of the same body is usually slower and less stiff.
  • Check how it is commanded (PWM servo signal, TTL or RS485 serial, Modbus) against your controller, and whether the driver is built in.
  • Force-feedback versions read their own thrust, which helps for gentle grasping and contact detection.
  • Self-locking screws hold position with power off, which saves current in fingers that grip for long periods.
