Micro Linear Servo Actuators
Size by thrust for the load, choose the stroke, then check speed and how the servo is commanded.
How to compare micro linear servo actuators
- Thrust
- The pushing or pulling force the rod delivers. Speed falls as the load rises toward it.
- Stroke
- How far the rod travels between its end positions.
- Speed
- Rod speed without load. Fast versions of the same body give less thrust.
- Repeatability
- How closely the rod returns to a commanded position.
- Self-locking
- A screw that holds its position with the power off, so a finger or clamp keeps its grip without drawing current.
- Force feedback
- Versions that measure their own thrust, for gentle grasping and detecting contact.
- Communication
- How the servo is commanded: a PWM servo signal, TTL or RS485 serial, or Modbus RTU. The driver is built into the body.
