Choosing the right one

  • Read the torque for the gear ratio you will order: the same module gives very different torque at 51:1 and 161:1.
  • Size a motion cycle against the average-load and start/stop limits; keep the momentary peak for impacts and e-stops.
  • Choose the dual-encoder version if the joint must know its angle at power-on or hold position accurately under load.
  • Any joint that carries load against gravity needs the brake version.
  • Check the hollow shaft against every cable and hose that has to pass through the joint.
