Typical applications

  • Desktop and education robot arms
  • Hexapods, quadrupeds and small humanoids
  • Pan-tilt heads and camera rigs
  • RC models and animatronics
  • Robot learning and teleoperation kits

Choosing the right one

  • Bus servos (TTL or RS485) chain on one cable and report position, speed, load, voltage and temperature; PWM servos need one signal wire each and report nothing.
  • Stall torque is the most the servo holds before it stops. Size the working load at a third to a half of stall torque.
  • Torque and speed are quoted at a supply voltage. Run the servo at that voltage to get them.
  • Magnetic encoders give 360° absolute position with no wear; potentiometer servos are limited to their angle range.
  • RS485 suits long cables and noisy machines; TTL suits short runs inside a robot. A USB adapter or driver board connects either to a PC.

About this product

Stall torque is 8.9 kg·cm (0.873 N·m) at 12 V and no-load speed is 0.13 s/60°. Working angle is 360° (4096 steps) with a 12-bit magnetic encoder, and the servo reports position, speed, load, voltage, current and temperature.

  • Series: HLS series TTL bus servo
