You supply the housing, bearings, encoder and driver. Size by rated torque in your own housing, then check KV against your bus voltage.
How to compare frameless torque motors
- Peak torque
- What the motor delivers for a few seconds before heat limits it.
- Rated torque
- What it delivers continuously with the cooling the maker assumes; your housing decides the real figure.
- KV
- Unloaded speed per volt. Lower KV gives more torque per amp and less speed per volt.
- Inrunner and outrunner
- Inrunners leave a hollow center for cables and shafts. Outrunners give more torque for their diameter.
