Drivers & Accessories
Match a driver to your motor and bus, an adapter to your computer, then plan power for the whole robot.
How to compare drivers & accessories
- Driver board
- The electronics that turn bus commands into motor current (field-oriented control). Bare and gimbal motors need one; integrated joint modules have it built in.
- Encoder input
- Lets the driver read the motor's angle for closed-loop position and speed control.
- USB-to-CAN adapter
- Connects a PC to a joint's CAN bus to configure, tune and test it.
- CAN hub
- Several CAN channels from one USB port, so each limb can run on its own bus.
- Power board
- Distributes the battery or supply to the joints, with fused branches, auxiliary outputs and an emergency-stop input.
- Bleeder module
- Dumps the energy that braking joints push back onto the bus into a resistor, so the bus voltage stays within limits.
